Easy Pumpkins
This pumpkin is a very easy and quick make and perfect for beginners.

Materials

Pattern
Pumpkin
Using 3mm hook and orange 8ply yarn
Ch 22
R1: Hdc the third stitch from the hook, hdc 19. Ch2 and turn
R2: Hdc in the two front loops of the 3rd stitch from the hook, continue to the end of the row. Ch2 and turn
R3: Hdc in the bottom front loop of the 3rd stitch from the hook, continue to the end of the row. Ch2 and turn.
R4 - R22: Repeat R2 and R3
Fasten off and leave a long tail, you'll need this to sew it all up.

Stem
Using 4.25mm hook and brown 12ply yarn
Make a magic circle and sc 4 into the circle
R1: Sc 2 in each stitch (8 sts)
R2 - R4: Sc in each stitch
Sl st into the next stitch and fasten off. Leave a tail long enough to sew.
*You can keep going for more rows for a longer stem
Assembly
Choose the side you like better and face that down
Using a wool needle and the long tail gather the longer side of the rectangle. Pull and thread through the other end of the rectangle to make a circle.

Sew shut the short side of the rectangle.
Stuff the beanie shape thing.
Yes, there is a hole at the bottom, don't worry it will be fixed.
Gather the open side and repeat what you did with the opposite side.
Sew shut this hole and feed the needle down the middle of the ball to the other side. Pull to make a little curve. This will be for the stem. Sew shut this side and fasten off.


Using the tail from the stem sew it on the pumpkin in the curve. You can stuff the stem but you don't have to.
If you want to add a face to the pumpkin do the embroidery before gathering the first side.
